I really liked this. And believe me, this is me really setting my preferences aside ;). But I really liked the backstory of the characters, especially Jack's (loved the comment on the homwork).

And you captured perfectly what intrigues me the most about Kate/Jack, something that I like of their relationship, that I enjoy, and that's Kate's angle into it. I love her detachment, kind of, at the beginning, and how finally she steps forward and utters a statement that it's her commintment to him. It was very well written, it felt very true to her character.
