Apr. 27th, 2006 02:32 pmOkay, I'm going to bitch here. My bitch is going to be about clip shows. Specifically about the Lost one shown last night.
First off let's deal with the number one think the idiots behind this clip show seem to have forgotten. See when the tailies and the Losties merged it wasn't a happy event. It wasn't just hugging and smiles. There was nagging little oopsies in the form of SHANNON GETTING SHOT. But apparently that little bit wasn't important enough seeing as you left it out. Well isn't that great. I understand that you only have forty some minutes in which to compile and effectively summarize this season but come on. That happened to have a major effect on this season.
Secondly, while I am, and always will be, a Jater, I do not appreciate having every scene of my ship shoved down my throat. I swear there was more Jate than there was anything else, and while I was squeeing in joy at the beginning, I was not by the end. I understand why the kiss was in there, I understand why the net of love was in there but I do not understand why we needed the shower scene. Or the golfing for that matter. The end maybe when Sawyer showed up. But not the whole interlude thing. It just seemed forced and unnecessary. However I am still a Jater, contrary to the aggressiveness of the above. Ditto on Hibby, although I understand that that was a bit more recent so allowances can be made.
Thirdly, and lastly (I know, thank god), where was Sawyer? Has he had no storyline recently or something? I mean Sayid (who I love and worship as well) got more screen time and he's only been in about half the episodes this year, and mostly, until recently, for no reason. Yet I saw him way more than Sawyer, who recently took the guns, a factor that, judging by the previews, will have reprecussions in the coming weeks. I just don't get it.
