She wants to feel.

 

Ana will do anything to feel something, to feel alive. It doesn’t make her a bad person. It only makes her human.

 

She’s lonely. Jack pretends to want her, but in the end he’s only protecting himself from his feelings that he’s afraid might break him at their reveal. She knows they aren’t feelings for her.

 

Sawyer’s lonely too. He’s spent his time waiting for someone who blocked him out long ago. He just refuses to realize it.

 

She won’t pretend this means something. It doesn’t. But right now all she’s feeling is him. That’s enough.
