Okay, first of all, if you actually have a journal, please post with it. I understand if you're just a passer-by but if you're someone I know then please have the guts to say something under your real name.

Secondly, this is a work of fiction. Fiction written specifically for a friend. I'm not calling it the most realistic thing I've ever written, in fact, I'm pushing the boundaries here. Probably by a lot.

Grey's is a show that hasn't made much attempt to be realistic. They're PTSD storyline, in my opinion, is very poorly handled. I'm not calling Owen a wife-beater. I'm not calling him an abuser. I'm calling it an accident. I'm calling him remorseful after the fact. I made no accusations about him being the worst person in the world, I'm saying that these things happen and, at this point of time, this relationship isn't healthy at all.

I'm a Psych major in college. My end of semester paper was on PTSD. I know all about it. If you don't believe me, I can send you the paper I wrote on it that I got very high marks on it. I know the differences between it as it's portrayed here and as it is in real life. I also know that in severe cases, people have killed loved ones due to the disorder. Others have abused them, prior to getting help. I can link you to reports on that too.

And don't accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about. What you gather from a 2,000 word story says nothing about what I know and who I am, and certainly doesn't tell you enough to tell me that I should be ashamed of myself.
