ANGSTY! But lovely! You're really good at the angsty prose...
I liked the pairing, I could see it happening. If there was something canon in here post Season 4 I would not recognise it as I have yet to watch Season 5 or 6.
Fave bits:
They are who they always were, poster children for the emotionally stunted, the lost causes – just more world weary. -- I really like this line because I do think it whenever I watch those two on the show... they are so messed up! And not in a George O'Malley or even Izzie Stevens kind of way. In an especially damaged way. Like Meredith.
He still calls out the wrong woman’s name and she still dreams of the wrong man, pleading the fifth on his identity even to her subconscious.

-- That's so in-character and just *hugs* for you and Cristina.
“Sitting in a bar talking about metaphors. You’re going to hate yourself in the morning.”
“Not if I get laid.” He tips the bottle back, empty beer that sounds hollow when he sets it down.
